Calibration Certificate (sending in your used rain gauge)

All new 525 series rain gauges come factory calibrated but it is recommended that all units be sent in for calibration on an annual basis for maximum accuracy. Texas Electronics uses the most advanced system for calibrating tipping bucket type rain gauges. The system is comprised of a digitally controlled pump combined with an advanced software control system which provides an extremely detailed analysis of each tip. Once adjusted, the gauge is then put through a simulated rainfall event and must pass with less than 1% error @ minimum of 100 tips. We will send the certificate back with the unit that will show the results and keep the records for tractability.

Calibration certificates are important for tracking the history and performance of an instrument. A certificate documents the instrument’s measurement reliability when it arrives in the laboratory as well as adjustments and final measurement data from the calibration process.
